father

otav : father

The Tarijan word for father is otav.

Prior to WWI OTAV motorcycles were manufactured by the Turkheimer company of Italy.

International locations:
Otav is the name of a city in Turkey. Otav is the name of a village in the state of Maharashtra in India.

How I came up with this word:
Otav is a mixture of the transliterated word for father in Russian which is otets (отец), and the transliterated word for father (dad or pa) in Mongolian which is aav (аав).

TARIJAN CONLANG features words in an unreal language. Are you confused yet?

Nobody speaks this language, not even me. Tarijan is a language of few words. You could say Tarijan is a secret language.

At this time I'm not sure how these Tarijan words should be pronounced. There are some inconsistancies in Tarijan that still need ironing out.

Complete sentences are way beyond the current capabilities of this conlang language.

Words can be changed or redone after they are posted. This blog shows the current Tarijan words.

Even though posts are not made frequently, this conlang blog is alive.

About Tarijan conlang

Tarijan is a contructed language inspired by Russian and Mongolian. Russian is a Slavic language. Mongolian is an Altaic language. Both languages are written in the Cyrillic alphabet.

Each Tarijan word is intended to be a mixture of the transliterated translations of the words in Russian and Mongolian. I do not know either of these languages, and there seem to be various ways words are transliterated into the Latin alphabet. I'm much more confident that I'm finding reasonable words from Russian than Mongolian. Although I try to find the proper words, there's no guarantee that the words I use are correct.
