cup

chaya : cup

The Tarijan word for cup is chaya. Chaya (or Tree Spinach) is a leaf vegetable used in Mexico and Central America. Chaya is an uncommon feminine first name. Chaya is an unusual last name.

In other languages:
In Japanese (transliterated) chaya means teahouse.

International locations:
Chaya is the name of places in China, Japan, Niger, Russia and Iraq.

How I came up with this word:
Chaya is a mixture of the transliterated word for cup in Russian which is chashka (чашка), and the transliterated word for cup in Mongolian which is ayaga (аяга).

In my other conlangs:
The Miresua word or cup is kaipu.
The Lhaesine word for cup is idar.
