steel

taan : steel

The Tarijan word for steel is taan. Taan is a last name and a first name. Taan is a virtuosic technique used in North Indian classical vocal music.

In other languages:
In Yucatec Maya táan translates to chest, before, in front of. In Volapuk taan translates to adversary, opponent.

International locations:
Taan is the name of a city in China and Taan Valley is a town in Uganda.

How I came up with this word:
Taan is a mixture of the transliterated word for steel in Russian which is stal’ (сталь), and the transliterated word for steel in Mongolian which is gan (ган).
