black

charn : black

The Tarijan word for the color black is charn.

Charn is a ruined fictional realm in C. S. Lewis's book The Magician's Nephew, one of the Chronicles of Narnia.

In other languages:
Charn means means "flesh, meat" in Romansch, a uncommon language of Switzerland.

How I came up with this word:
Charn is a mixture of the transliterated word for black in Russian which is chernyi or chornih (черный), and the transliterated word for black in Mongolian which is khar (хар).
